Shortly after painting two large murals in South Africa, Spanish artist Dourone accompanied by the artist Elodielool chose the city of Mulhouse (East France) for the realization of their largest mural painted in France.

Entitled “Même Composition Même Beauté” (Same Composition Same Beauty), this mural is 38 meters high and 12 meters wide and is definitely one of Dourone’s largest paintings on a wall. It can be seen in the Côteaux neighborhood.

The mural features the portrait of a woman staring into the distance. The position of the character and the colors used (orange, yellow, white and blue) bring softness to the densely populated area where the mural is located. The female figure holds a prominent place in all the works by Dourone. This mural reveals once more the artist’s consideration for the role of women and their relationship with men in today’s society. They are always presented as strong and independent characters.

This mural was painted in collaboration with Orlinda Lavergne Gallery in Mulhouse where Dourone is presenting his first solo show of works on canvas « Ombre brillante » (Shining Shadow) until May 26.
