In March 2017 British artist Banksy open the doors to “The Walled Off Hotel”, a fully functioning hotel in Bethlehem, Palestine.
FWTV headed over to stay at the hotel for a few nights and see how Banksy aims to use this as a tool to inform people about the region’s complicated situation.

FWTV went out to see the hotel and spend a few days gaining first-hand insight into life under occupation.
This video was shot over a three day period at the end of May 2017 and features:

  • the Jerusalem conflict tour.  Hosted by an Israeli born, Jewish guide.  The tour lasted 4 hours and focused on the stark contrast between the East and West regions of the city.
  • The Wall & Aida Camp tour – Hosted by a Palestinian born guide.  The tour lasted 2 hours and was a first-hand account of life restricted by the “security wall” that engulfs the region.  The tour also took us through the “Aida” refugee camp.
  • The Dead Sea – a 3 hours trip through Jericho down towards the Dead Sea.

Excursions were organised through the hotel and are highly recommended if visiting.
