Hyuro in Galicia, Spain

“Morriña” Paço Cultura, Carballo, Galicia, Spain 2016 for Rexenera Fest.

The Argentinian born, Spanish Artist Hyuro, who is known for blending politics with a surreal sensibility in her uncanny black-and-white works, just finished another brilliant mural entitled “Morriña”

Morriña is a word of the Galician language that describes a feeling of nostalgia that is linked to an anthropological point of view which brings us closer to the culture as a provider of all, that is not a product of nature. In this case the blanket metaphorically represents culture, and all those traditions and customs that are lost with the evolution of modern times.
