On June 3rd, the urban arts festival, MurAL Fest In Tirana, Albania concluded which saw the collaboration between the Lecce-based association 167/B Street and the Albanian capital. The collective, based in Italy accepted the invitation to curate the project from the local urban planning organization’s director Dekori Henri Ciule, his affiliates Petrit Shabani and Albana Kozeli in partnership with local Albanian artist Franko Dine.

The initiative gathered 13 highly acclaimed international artists to transform the Blloku neighborhoods into a colorful cultural oasis that included: Artez (SR), Awer (IT), Bifido (IT), Carlitops (IT), Davide DPA (IT), Chekos’art (IT), Theic Licuado (UR) , Frank Lucignolo (IT), Ende (AL), Eldi Veizaj (AL), Elian Tanini (AL), Lazoo (FR).

The diverse contribution of murals hopes to put Tirana on the map as a destination to encounter public art reinvented with imagery, stories and languages of strong cultural value that makes the city a vibrant and exciting place to visit.
