NEVERCREW in Luzern

NEVERCREW has just unveiled a new mural in Luzern (Switzerland) entitled ‘Realizing Machine’ for Neusicht exhibition, organized by Viva con Agua, which is a network of people and organizations committed to establishing access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation for all humans in the world.

Utmost respect goes out to artists like NEVERCREW who paint for good causes and raising awareness on current issues, and this mural is not exception.

About the mural
The mural features a whale trapped in a building which can be interpreted as a man-made cage. The structure of the building is also revealing of a human mistake: the glass walls referring to the sides of an aquarium. The title ‘Realizing Machine’ also allows to explore the relationship between mankind and Nature.

About the artists
NEVERCREW is a Swiss street artists duo composed by Christian Rebecchi and Pablo Togni. They have created murals, sculptures, installations since 1996. They generally show great concern for the endangered species in their works, usually painting whales or polar bears trapped/destroyed by the human attitude. This path led NEVERCREW to develop their current approach and to create artworks in many cities of the world.
