Jacksonville-based artist Nicole Holderbaum aka Nico just realized a new piece for the Grove Street Neighborhood in Gainesville, Florida.
“Soulful Words: Speak Now!” is the title of the new mural painted by Nicole “Nico” Holderbaum and her collaborator, Martin Torres. The theme is Love, as it relates to every one of us uniquely and yet unites us simultaneously, expressed through two arts: painting and poetry. The three portraits on the wall, in fact, depict three poets with some verses they have written specifically for the Grove Street Neighborhood Project. The mural was dedicated to the spirit of the Grove Street Neighborhood, its numerous artistic accomplishments, and its leader, Maria Huff Edwards, for her steadfast devotion to the neighborhood and her love of poetry.
