Barcelona native, Irene Valiente aka Valiente Creations recently kicked-off the 12+1 Project in Sant Feliu de Llobregat with the mural “Nare”, derived from the Latin verb fleet. Coordinated by the Contorno Urbano Foundation and Kaligrafics, the project will bring in 12 artists over the course of 12 months, interchanging one wall each month.

About the Mural

Irene Valiente creates organic forms presented in nature that, through her study re-interprets to generate an intimate and particular vision.“Nare” from the Latin verb Fleet was born due to the proximity of the mural with the Sant Feliu Swimming Club, with shapes that flow through the wall as if it were water.

About the 12+1 Project

Coordinated by local organizations Contorno Urbano Foundation and  in Sant Feliu, the 12+1 Project organizes 12 artists over the course of a year, each artist transforming the same wall per month. For their final exhibition, all of the different artists’ work are presented.

12+1 aims to create an open-air art gallery that’s constantly interchanging. A unique vision which problematizes the way we exhibit urban art, and the place of these artworks in a city.
