The Vic native artist Kazzius was one of the 12 artists chosen for the 12+1 project organized by Kaligrafics and Contorno Urbano in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain. He painted the mural for the month of February with his colorful characteristic abstract style.

About The Mural

As the title of this piece says “In search of the movement”, the artist continues his study on movement and depth. As he adds: “I look for repetitions in the forms to generate the movement, play with the void to give depth and at the same time make the work breathe. With the stroke I give texture and I used it to give a more organic and spontaneous point.”
His style, that plays with geometric structures and correlative colors, reminds us of constructivism with a clear essence of urban art.

About The Artist

Born in Vic in 1980, Kazzius began his artistic adventure in 1993, as he painted train tracks and abandoned factories. Parallel to his work in the streets, Kazzius produces studio works since 2009, evolving towards a more personal path.
Kazzius describes himself as spontaneous and millimetric, and seeks to recreate the sensation of movement through strokes and geometry, bringing life to his works. He has a particular interest in architecture.

About Project 12+1

Coordinated by local organizations Contorno Urbano Foundation and Kaligrafics in Sant Feliu, the 12+1 Project organizes 12 artists over the course of a year, each artist transforming the same wall per month. For their final exhibition, all of the different artists’ work are presented.

12+1 aims to create an open-air art gallery that’s constantly interchanging. A unique vision which problematizes the way we exhibit urban art, and the place of these artworks in a city.
