Omar Ortiz – Oil on linen
His work is characterized as minimalistic – hyper-realism where the human body is predominate with texture-filled backgrounds and a magical use of fabric. Omar describes his work by saying:
“Since I started painting I have always tried to represent things as real as I can. Sometimes I succeed and some others I don´t but it´s a fact that it is very difficult for me to do otherwise. I enjoy the challenge of reproducing skin tones and it´s nuances under natural light, particularly in bright conditions. I like simplicity in my pieces since I believe that excesses make us more poor rather than rich.”

Paul Cadden – Small drawing pencil on paper
“Although the drawings and paintings I make are based upon a series of photographs video stills etc, the art created from the photo is used to create a softer and much more complex focus on the subject depicted, presenting it as a living tangible object. These objects and scenes in my drawings are meticulously detailed to create the illusion of a new reality not seen in the original photo. Intensify the normal.”
Kamalky Laureano – Acrylic on canvas
“My work is motivated by my feelings toward how I experience my life. Art is communication. It is the conscious living of the world around us in every second. My subjects captivate me as if they were music and melodies. I feel compelled to listen to them and play back their song the way I hear it. I am inspired by the singer’s face that sings to me every day.”
Lee Price is a figurative painter from New York. She has been painting women and food for over twenty years and continues to address the intersections of food with body image, addiction, and unabating desire.
Ron Mueck – Sculpture, mixed materials
Ron Mueck (born 1958) is an Australian hyper-realist sculptor working in Great Britain. His early career was as a model maker and puppeteer for children’s television and films, notably the film Labyrinth for which he also contributed the voice of Ludo, and the Jim Henson series The Storyteller. Mueck’s sculptures faithfully reproduce the minute detail of the human body, but play with scale to produce disconcertingly jarring visual images.

His meticulously executed snatches of the real world are executed with the minute precision of higher mathematics; and yet what seem to be very cool, unemotional artworks, embracing a quietest aesthetic, turn out to set off an intensely emotional experience. What begins in mathematics, ends in a subtle and a virtually indefinable magic.
Born in Portugal, 1983, went through Law School and graduated in 2007. Currently living in London, United Kingdom.
“I’m just a self taught patient hobbyist person. I’ve always been interested in drawing, sculpting and painting since I was 2 years old. I started drawing and developing my own style of ballpoint pen drawing back when I was in school, in simple classroom sketches in the back of my exercise books. I never imagined there were so many brilliantly masterful ballpoint artists out there.
Ballpoint pen is not my only medium, it’s just the one I’m currently trying to master. At this point in my life I’m fairly proficient with chalk, pencil, color pencil, pastels, oils and acrylics. Maybe one day I’ll create an account just to share those.
It takes me forever to do my works. The only thing that makes me keep going is my love for what I do and the ambition to go further and further.”

Thomas Arvid – Limited edition Giclée on canvas
Thomas Arvid possesses an unerring ability to refine a moment. In doing so he captures our wonder and has become an art world phenomenon. The magic of his painting is in Arvid’s ability to visualize and chronicle an entire scene beyond the frame – to tell a story of enjoyment and the good life – using lush color and adroit composition. Arvid is passionate about art and wine: a collector of both, he strives to capture the pleasure of a life well-lived on each canvas. An Atlanta resident and fresh-faced father of two young sons, the self-taught artist insists that wine should be approachable; his paintings are an embodiment of the casual way that we enjoy wine today. He is an appealing role model for a lifestyle of easy elegance and unpretentious charm.
Franco Clun – Pencils on watercolor paper
I always had overwhelming passions, and the drawing is one of them. For a long time I have left to devote to other things, but I returned three years ago. Unfortunately I did not study art, and everything I know I learned from experience and from reading some drawing manuals. For the moment I’m posting old drawings, but the company of many great artists pushed me back to draw, so be careful: I’m at work.

Amy Robins – Colored pencil on cartridge paper
“Recently graduating from the BA Fine Art course at University of Wales, Newport, I am currently based in Gloucester, alongside volunteering at galleries in Bristol and Cardiff. My current work spans from drawing and collage to photography, exploring comprehensions of reality, place and presence in the context of modern technology and the availability of images and information online. I have exhibited in various shows in the UK, as well as featuring in several international publications. A selection of work is held in private and corporate collections.”
