In preparations for the 2018 World Cup that is kicking off June 14, Moscow Street Art Festival aka MOST invited Argentinean street artist Martin Ron among other artists to paint murals related to Football in the Russian Capital.
What more could Martin Ron ask for? Combining the 2 passions he loves the most: Painting and Football! I am almost positive he didn’t have to think twice saying yes to this project.
This latest offering by Martin Ron depicts an image of a defiant kid throwing the ball in a field position, using his hyper realistic signature style and color palette.
In a statement Martin said: “While touring the city, I was able to witness the pride of this great nation, and how this country is preparing to return to be the protagonist of the new international political scene in every sense. I saw fit to paint the image of a child in defiant attitude throwing in: Russia is standing, putting the ball back in the field.”
Martin Ron is an Argentinian street artist based in Buenos Aires. Not only is he the co-founder of the program “Urban Beautification”, painting the first large mural in the neighborhood of Villa Urquiza, he is known as one of the ten best muralists in the world.
He works with 3D technique, realism and developed a signature style using grid that is present in several of his murals and canvases of strong colors, textures blended with elements of everyday life.
He studied art and culture at the National University of Tres de Febrero, where he later taught as a teacher in Muralism courses. Currently, he continues to develop seminars and workshops independently.
