American artist Rachel Sommer just finished her last piece in Gainesville, Florida, for the Grove Street Neighborhood.
The key dropping from the dancer’s hand points to the fact that no one else can make you grow, only you have the power to do that.
The message behind this mural is that we only have the capacity to free ourselves from self imposed boundaries and that Change must comes from within.
“I wanted viewers to look at this mural and see part of themselves and to give some hope to people who are still going through something personal and difficult; or to remember a struggle they went through and have overcome.”
