The Argentinian artist Guido Palmadessa recently traveled to Sicily, to create a new mural in the city of Palermo. Located in  the Danisinni neighborhood, “Almurezo”  or lunch in Spanish depicts a pictorial that highlights the day-to-day life for locals in the area.

About the Mural

The large mural which frescoes the back wall of the Santa Agnese  church depicts a man and a woman sitting at a rustic table eating. The wonderfully illustrative image represents a daily scene of a rural lunch inspired by the artist’s time getting to know the beautiful Danisinni neighborhood and it’s residents.
“As soon as I arrived in Palermo I immediately came to Danisinni. I was intrigued by it and started walking through the alleys and the Danisinni park, talking to Fra Mauro Billetta, parish priest of the church of Sant’Agnese, and the professor Enzo Patti, an artist who with the teacher Valentina Console gave life to artistic projects in the neighborhood.” – Guido.
“Almurezo” is a truly exceptional portrayal of the soul, nuances and identity that represent the area translated into the artists signature style.

About the Artist

The Argentinian artist Guido Palmadessa began painting in the streets around 2012. Instead of doing graffiti and tags all over the city, he started inside doors only leaving a small mark. He also attended a workshop for four years with Maximiliano Sanchez Sosa where he cultivated his visual arts and drawing abilities.

His work is often about dreams, people and nature that blends history and ancient cultures into imaginative images. Around 2015 he began to travel more and spent time in Mexico painting and participating in festivals and public art meetings. He began to value creating public, and is even coined as the the “Argentine Banksy” allowing him to visit beautiful towns and cities throughout the world.
