Nashville Walls Project in Nashville, Tennessee recently wrapped up a big mural project that featured nine artists painting new works around the downtown districts’ Ellston Parking garage. Local street-artist Chris Zidek aka Zidekahedron took on the largest structure creating a remarkable piece along the 45 ft x 100 ft facade as well as  the artist Audie Adams, who also added a delightful work on the other side of the exterior.

About the Murals

Chris Zidek is no stranger to Elliston Place, a local secret haven in an ever-growing tourist city he’s seen it blossom since its inception. He was thrilled to have the opportunity to paint the massive facade alone, being the largest wall he’s ever tackled.
Zidek focused on a composition that wouldn’t overwhelm the viewer using geometric and symmetrical shapes, which combined with the warm hues of his color palette resulted in a delightfully eye catching piece. Although the murals concept might seem simple, it requires a combination of precise measurements using protractors, rulers, plotting points and a straight edge. The outcome is an  exceptional aesthetic of highly advanced and appealing patterned designs.
The mural Adams did is a visual depiction about a quote that’s sentimental to the artist; “What if the sun didn’t rise again and the new day never came.” He illustrates the phrase that tomorrow isn’t promised so live life to the fullest. The Mockingbird featured in the mural is the Tennessee state bird and as the artist is a Nashville native, it’s a subtle nod to show his adoration of where he comes from.
