Waterford Walls: Ireland’s Largest International Street Art Festival is back

This August Ireland‘s largest Street Art Festival will return to Waterford City. Presented by The Walls Project, Waterford Walls International Street Art Festival is now in its fourth year, and will showcase an open air gallery of over 130 murals by renowned international street artists. 

From August 23rd to the 26th visitors will witness the murals come to life, as well as take part in a variety of activities that include engaging workshops, guided tours, interactive live art exhibitions, art jams, expert panel discussions as well as enjoy food and  live music.

This years’ roster of talent includes returning artists such as  SMUG One, Animalito Land, Joe Caslin,  Danleo, Arcy, Signs of Power, Sonny, Novice, Caoilfhionn Hanton as well as news comers Dan Kitchener, Mantra, FaunaGraphic, Monkeybird Crew, Lost Optics, Sr.X, Rocket.01, Karen Hickey and Shane O Driscoll (full roster below.)

The pre-festival kicks off on August 17th, as local and international artists arrive, set up and begin creating mural around the city. The Waterford Walls crew will host a lighter pre-programme of activities from August 17-22, featuring art trails for enthusiasts keen to see the artists developing large-scale works of art in different locations.

The Walls Project is founded by the team that has brought you the Waterford Walls festival for the last four years. The project organizes commission work, workshops and guided art trails. They also work on new ideas to enliven public space.
