Inspired by last year’s cyber attack at power distribution centers in western Ukraine, French Artist MTO was invited by the ArtUnitedUS initiative to paint a mural in Kiev, Ukraine entitled: “From Russia With Love.”
About the Mural
“From Russia With Love” is A digital love-cannonball sent from Moscow (Russia) to Kiev (Ukraine) : An interpretation of the Love / Hate relationship that has always been going on between Russia and Ukraine.

About the Artist
MTO (short for Mateo) is a graffiti and street artist born and raised in France. Between 2006 and 2013 he lived in Berlin however his current location is unknown. Like many graffiti and street artists, personal and background information is sparse. Fortunately his incredible and well documented body of work speaks for itself.
MTO is best known for his hyperrealistic, larger-than-life portraits. Most are black and white with the odd splash of colour incorporated. You can see much more of this artist’s amazing aerosol artwork at the online links below.
About the Project
ArtUnitedUs is an international project that collaborates through artistic and creative mediums with communities to raise public awareness and attention to the problem of war, aggression and violence. The project started in Kiev, Ukraine in the beginning of the year, is planning to complete 200 walls during the next 2 years through out the world and without boundaries.
